   "Without the words to put to my own emotions, I was lost in my own world. Often when others wanting to really know me asked, “What are you thinking about?” I never knew what to answer.

I couldn’t tell them I was mentally talking with friends I had met a long time ago, perhaps even from a previous life —silence, solitude, faith, and trust.

Conversing with them while gazing at the sky, I kept on trying to understand the nature of my family’s dynamics, my father’s rage, my mother’s emotional distance and submissiveness towards my father, my brothers’ abandonment by my parents, my role in this life, and, most importantly, where did I really come from and for what purpose? These were things that occupied my existence."
